How do i fix TS3 mic static?

My mic is giving off a static sound in teamspeak, people cannot hear me, how do i fix this?

You may have the "gain" setting too high.

You may have a dirty mic, or a dirty microphone jack.

You may have a faulty mic, or microphone jack.

Try the mic on a different device if you're able to. If it works fine there you'll have narrowed the problem down. If it doesn't you'll know it's the mic.

well the static sound happens for both teamspeak and OBS, but it doesnt happen for anything else....

I don't recall off the top of my head. Somewhere in the options/settings is a "set-up wizard" for the mic. That'll guide you through adjusting it to minimize echo and background noise, etc.

*edit: you threw me there, deleting your post and replacing it. :P

If it's only occuring w/some apps I'd assume it's the gain. Once you find that setting and get it tweaked you should be in good shape.
