2. you're better off getting something with an external mixer and true hi-res audio like Steelseries Arctis Pro + GameDAC, budget products are really bad if you actually want good quality sound.
It is virtual surround. These headsets comes with a software to simulate surround, software built-in. And that is why I ask if it is really worth it for spatial awareness and immersion? Or just a gimmick thing regardless of the price/brand.
Not comparing to true surround sound.
And the 2nd point, not according to what I've seen from reviews as ''really bad''. Seems the Jeecoo's headsets are top rated products with good sound quality and voice transmission. There are of course drawbacks, because are made for a budget.
But I don't know what is the USB-C and 3.5mm difference, could that compromise the sound quality or it sounds and transmits the same quality?
the software that makes the virtual 7.1 is included with W10, you don't have to buy it separately.
This whole thing is a timmy trap.
I have a virtual 7.1 option on my headset (I did not buy it for that, but rather the general quality) I never use the virtual 7.1 because as you say "it is fake" if you know anything about sounds, you will also be able to hear that. Without it however, it sounds pretty nice, for a not to expensive headset. Albeit if I wanted to listen to music, I would switch to my expensive wireless headsets.
