¿7.1 Virtual surround headset worth it for gaming? USB vs 3.5mm
Does anyone have experience with it? What do you think?

This is a budget 7.1 virtual surround headset Jeecoo V22 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083HZFG5W/

Does the quality of sound compromises between USB-C or 3.5mm jack? I mean, one it is digital, the other analog.

1. your soundcard has to be 7.1

2. you're better off getting something with an external mixer and true hi-res audio like Steelseries Arctis Pro + GameDAC, budget products are really bad if you actually want good quality sound.
From what I hear, the V22's are extremely well, I never used it since I use Billboard earbuds but I'm not sure if i would but most people would recommend
Budget products are not all really bad, just make sure you read the reviews on something. I bought an off brand set of headphones that sound better than any of the expensive crap I've had in the past. Do your research and keep in mind that more money or bigger numbers doesn't always equate to better quality.

It is virtual surround. These headsets comes with a software to simulate surround, software built-in. And that is why I ask if it is really worth it for spatial awareness and immersion? Or just a gimmick thing regardless of the price/brand.
Not comparing to true surround sound.

And the 2nd point, not according to what I've seen from reviews as ''really bad''. Seems the Jeecoo's headsets are top rated products with good sound quality and voice transmission. There are of course drawbacks, because are made for a budget.

But I don't know what is the USB-C and 3.5mm difference, could that compromise the sound quality or it sounds and transmits the same quality?

"virtual" means fake. The headset is just a simple headphone with 2 drivers and of questionable quality.

the software that makes the virtual 7.1 is included with W10, you don't have to buy it separately.

This whole thing is a timmy trap.

I have a virtual 7.1 option on my headset (I did not buy it for that, but rather the general quality) I never use the virtual 7.1 because as you say "it is fake" if you know anything about sounds, you will also be able to hear that. Without it however, it sounds pretty nice, for a not to expensive headset. Albeit if I wanted to listen to music, I would switch to my expensive wireless headsets.
Only go for it if you are using Win7 tbh. Win 10 has it's own system for free. Gimmicky and doesn't really do much for me in games. Sounds like a fake 3D echo that isn't even properly directed on everything which is ridiculous at times. Unless it's extremely cheap (No more than $30~)and still of decent-good quality, pass it. I have a set with it and I still rather just use my old stereo Sennheizers for gaming. Just wish replacement pads for it were cheaper since the wet/dry and humid weather here ruins them fast.
