Saddam Hussein has passed away.
Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti born on April 28th of 1937 has died. He was an Iraqi politician and revolutionary who served as the fifth president of Iraq from 1979. He was also the prime minister of Iraq for a number of years. For those of you that are not aware of Saddam Hussein, rumor has it that he bought dozens of PlayStation 2 consoles, then had his military repurpose their hardware to help fire rockets into neighboring countries.

I thought he died decades ago.

*double-checks*

Yep, 2006.
His one mistake was messing with Israel. My country would draft every man, woman, child, and pet if it would save Israel.
Nuh uh, Cheetahmen fought him obviously.

It's like with Osama bin Laden in that the people were shown a body double. Course unlike bin Laden, Hussein didn't die of kidney failure.

Bin laden was killed by seal team six not kidney failure.
I remember seeing the announcement that he had been hanged.

I was partly through a long shift, and it was on the TV in the break room.

If I remember correctly his own people killed him and they wasn't tried for murder.
Are you finding some weird Mandela effect thought he was hanged
We have an interdimensional traveler here.

Such misinformation should be bannable.

I thought he should have been shot by firing squad.
Hanging just did not seem right for him.
Saddam was captured by U.S. forces on 13 December 2003. He remained in custody by United States forces at Camp Cropper in Baghdad, along with eleven senior Ba'athist officials.

On 5 November 2006, Saddam was convicted by the Iraqi High Tribunal of crimes against humanity related to the 1982 killing of 148 Iraqi Shi'a and sentenced to death by hanging. He was executed at "Camp Justice" (Iraq) on the 30 December 2006

*Puts on conspiracy theorist cap*

So what you're telling me is that a decoy was executed in Saddam's place, and Chicken Tacos is the real Saddam's closest aide, reporting that he finally passed away of old age.
