McDonald's likes this
Over here if people did that it would likely turn into a fight.
There used to be a lot of violence at 'soccer' games between the fans.
As usual in my posts there are films that can educate :
ID : a film about a policeman who goes undercover and realises violence is a lot of fun.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owOZssHwd6M
Frodo Goes to England aka Green Street : a film about Frodo learning to kick some British heads in.....again just this time its not orcs its humans. The storyline when you look at it is a bit rubbish and does not gel to well, a wasted opportunity but the actors are good and you get to see some fighting.

Football Factory : A bloody good film. Danny Dyer sums it up in the first sentence.

While those who are in it mainly to beat others up, they would meet somewhere, and coordinate that, and and then the do that. It´s rather that both teams would be together for that part - against the police - till they find a spot.
That´s not really what it is about imho, that´s rather the annoying part of it, if some people "slightly" overdo it. But if they want to beat each other up, and everyone is fine with it - i don´t see why they shouldn´t do it. Better let their aggression out there, as on random other people who don´t want to be involved in it.
They're both fine sports and their fans appreciate them.
I prefer American Football. But, I can also enjoy Soccer if I have some kind of stake in it, or just create one like "I'll cheer for the guys in blue shirts."
If Soccer has a downside for me, it's that it's a lot of running around and effort for little gain...
In Football, there's a lot more gaming "progression feedback" in terms of the game's potential outcome than there is in Soccer. Soccer, IMO, requires much more personal investment in the game and the teams in order to get that kind of feedback to inspire enthusiasm.
Just "IMO." Neither sport, in general, is more deserved of its fans than the other.
PS: On Soccer's worldwide status - Just look for places that the Brits wanted... and there it is. The same goes for "Cricket." Nobody actually likes Cricket... It's a "game" only in the loosest sense of the word. But, because the Brits once coveted a place, landed ships there, took the place over and then forced everyone to play it, it's now played in a lot of places. (Just like Soccer) The only reason it was perpetuated is because its an excuse to sit around for two days to drink beer outside while watching ONE match being played... :)
Who said anything about better? The OP is talking about which is more entertaining. If real football wasn't so entertaining it wouldn't be so popular. Just like if McDonald's didn't taste nice, it wouldn't be popular.

I know this is for somebody else but I am going to have my say on this commentary style!
(I am too lazy to get up and get a coffee so will watch this first )
1.
He looks like I want to punch him out. And I am not a violent person.
He speaks like someone who would get along well down at my old boozer then get kicked in for a laugh by somebody.
2.
I don't care about his trainers im not a fashion conscious hooligan and I don't care about the airplane.
3.
Right now I really hate this guy 'its better than pepsi but not as good as coke' Pepsi IS better than coca cola!
4.
He is finally speaking about football, he now interests me.
5.
His voice is too high it's as if he never listened to Vinny Jones .
6.
that was a passive aggressive Nazi salute outside the grounds?!
7.
No alcohol at the match?
I think this is a good move if the people are not tanked up before they enter the ground.
8.
That is unacceptable with what happened to his ticket.
9.
Loving that atmosphere.
10.
That guy swearing at the footballer, little bit unnecessary.
11.
forgot to post anything further here while watching.
that guy needs to watch bit of match of the day from the 80s and he will do well on TV. - hes got a decent youtube thing going and can afford to go around football matches internationally so he isnt doing too bad as it is.
Seriously get some Jimmy hill on his vocabulary and he can replace that tosser Lineker.
But key points were the mention, that You don´t park the car somewhere near the stadium, or on the way to it, if You have the numbers plate of the other team, and that guy burning the scarf for no reason. And the chants, which are like the one mentioned. The difference between such a rivalry and just some slur chant is that if it´s about international cups, they wouldn´t default to the German team if the other participates, but to the opponent. It captures some of the atmosphere in the stadium and how that is - and it was probably not one person swearing at the footballer, but thousands, but he was standing in the block of the tame people, and close to the play field, so You only saw one. If there was a Nazi salute? No idea - could be, as football is also a traditional thing, and i guess most right wingers here like it. Some may be plain Nazis. Don´t want to post some videos about throwing bananas towards black players while making ape sounds, but that´s more 90´s stuff and before.
You posted some movie stuff, so i posted some random real stuff - no matter how the Youtuber does it, while he should preferably speak in English. He didn´t capture how they separate the fans either, or how they go to the stadium, which usually also includes some expressions about what they think about the other club. I just felt the need to post another video to the comment that he never saw anything like it in "soccer", while it´s usually far beyond that.
And then these people always overdo it, like i watched some German one, was about how they go to the stadium, and he, or someone near him tells a young woman "I wouldn´t go there if i were You." and she asks "Why not?" to which he says "There are really many people over there, and more are coming." and she looks somehow annoyed and goes there anyway, like if she wanted to say "I live here You idiot, i have that every second week..." But the Youtubers wouldn´t get clicks if they would do the same, so everything is insane, and great, and special...
Nonetheless i haven´t seen anything comparable outside of football, and i´d say Fritz Cola tastes better than Pepsi and Coke, as it has some lemon note in it (but not as much as any of these with extra lemon flavor) - but i rarely buy it as it´s more expensive. It also has more caffeine. And it´s about being in a small bottle, while the others would usually be in a can - so it´s better for the environment. Also i wouldn´t say it´s "the" German cola, as the brand is relatively new. Afri Cola would be "the" German one, if there is any, because Coke is no.1 here as well.
this is true. many people can't just enjoy the sport, they do get fanatics about it. happens in soccer a lot. it is discussed daily about the violence among various fc supporters.
We have less people organized in clubs nowadays, but also the cohesion of the people got lost, as they don´t share similar hobbies, activities - or enemies for that matter. Instead that is translated into the companies, on work, or into politics - or freetime.
The good thing about sports and sportsmanship is that You´re enemy for the duration of the match, but outside of it it doesn´t matter too much - or You´re even friends. It seems like now people have lost the ability to split that up. Either You´re enemy as a whole - or friend as a whole. So there´s also tribalism without sports. And i´m unsure which influence the sports tribalism has on a society - positively or negatively.
