Malwarebytes or Windows Defender?

For the longest time I've only used Windows Defender as my always active antivirus but the other day I decided to install Malwarebytes because I wanted to run a scan and I noticed that it seems to take over for WIndows Defender as the active antivirus and I'm not sure if I want it to do that or not, I downloaded it to scan, not to be always running. But now I'm wondering which is better to have always running? Malwarebytes or Defender? Also does MB use less resources? Because sometimes Windows Defender will eat up a lot of my pcs resources at random.

tbh Defender never let me down so far. so I never tried anything else, well not for the last 10 years at least.

disable it on startup and services(msconfig)
but u dont need malwarebytes if u never visit pirated or sus sites

Remember.

Always check at least twice before you download something.

And check more before you install something on your PC.

Don't let a program pass your firewall if it supposed to work without an Internet connection.

Importantly, don't pirate stuffs on Internet.

If you did exactly what I wrote above, you wouldn't have to install any antivirus. The most of antivirus softwares are developed to protect businesses nowadays, as they are valuable targets of the hackers, not personal devices.

Imho this is probably right especially these days i don't use Kaspersky anymore like my Dad suggested and nothing happenned.

Kaspersky is the only AV worth using. Your dad probably works in cyber security.

Kaspersky. Best protection ever and eats up less resources than BitDefender, somewhat. Of course, the TOTAL solution, with live protection, nothing less!

Kaspersky is actually fine and no my Dad is not an IT guy, it's just i don't really need that much protection in the first place.

Professionally, we're told Windows Defender is enough for personal computers.

Obviously, if you're going to every website sent to you to download every file you think is going to make your games or something better... you're probably going to need to do something more, but if you're being safe on the internet Windows Defender is fine.
