I have always used various devices for my gaming, I'll keep doing so no matter what opinion internet people have about it.
I'm part of the retro game and rpi master race. And mini PC master race. Also gaming master race where they believe that a gaming rig is superior to office PCs cuz technically it can do more.
Yahtzee rather regretted coining the expression "PC Gaming Master Race." In context, he was referring to menu-heavy RPGs like the original Witcher which aren't suited to a controller.
He later came up with some rather colorful sobriquets for single-platform snobs in general.
Doom was fun and all, but Quake when it was new..
I stuck with PC due to versatility of the platform and KB/mouse over a controller (barring racing games).
I got over what platform people want to game on long ago though.
I never get rid of anything, and I was running out of space and ports for new consoles.
I'd just stick with the ones I have. I have like ten, not even counting handhelds.
Reminds me of a friend, i believe his Gameboy fell out of my balcony when he was clearing his backpack of debris (if i remember correctly).
PC community can't tolerate deviating ppl.
Currently have PS2, 3, and 4 Pro; a home-built gaming PC, and an M2 Mac Mini.
(I haven't upgraded to a PS5 so far. There haven't been enough console/exclusive games that I care about yet. Historically, the new Final Fantasy coming out has been what's triggered me buying a new gen console. But FF7 Remake & FF16's big switch to "twitch-action combo fighter" style games has just turned me off completely.)
edit: oh, and dumbest 'console' thing I've seen someone say was the idiot on the Starfield forum thread "Sonybros, we've won!", which was about the game's review % going down.
