but if you excersize to loose 10 or 20kg of bodyfat.. not advisable;)
It's for building muscles, not so much for weight lost.
So yeah, depends on your goals.
For weight lost: I would advice replacing almost all your drinks (coffee unless just black with no extras, energy drinks, sodas, alcohol and even fruit juices which have natural sugars) with just water and regularly drinking water, with enough protein and fibre in your diet, reducing your carbs and sugar intake. Over time, your body will toggle from using quick energy from those carbs/sugars into burning your fat storage as it's form of energy output while you exercise and/or go on daily walks. Boosting your metabolism, you will even burn fat more while you sleep.
However, that would also mean no hot chocolate drinks.
Your body can crave carbs/sugars for it's energy source and want that as it's quick energy, hense why you get addicted to it, which mostly comes from you drinking a lot of it without noticing. When your body is in that state, it holds and reserves extra carbs into fat storage for later safe keeping, which is why it's so easy to gain weight and not be able to burn it off.
The Keto diet is based upon the same logic and reasoning, but you don't actually need a diet at all, unless it fits in with your own daily lifestyle and you can enjoy/stick to it.
It's more all about knowing what your body micronutrients needs actually are, based upon your energy requirements.
