I swear electric cars should fully replace petrol cars.
I swear electric cars should fully replace petrol cars. Now I know this isn't easily done.

But just for the sake of noise pollution.
I live right next to a road in a village, that for some reason is busier than the busiest road in a 200 000 population city.

If I imagine all of these cars would drive electric and make no noise at all, other than perhaps the wheels rolling on the concrete, then this place would be a charm.

Think about it. Its not only about nature and air pollution, but imagine the decrease in noise pollution. It would be a charm !!

Again, trying to "punish" people who disagree with you on the matter and make them pay for your lifestyle choices isn't going to win them over to your side. It's only going to make them hate you, resent you, and reject everything you support. So if you want a complete rejection of everything you stand for by the majority of people, by all means try getting them to be the sole financier of everything you want and see how well that goes over.

The other option would be to listen to wiser advice from wiser people, and actually put effort into making other ideas legitimately more palatable to more people by improving their merit, and making them easier or more rewarding to adopt, without having to punish people who don't agree with you as the sole incentive for doing so. That's how fascists do things. And that's why those type of societies always collapse. If you have an idea that is legitimately better, force, coercion, and punishments are unnecessary.
If they cause roads to need maintenance paying more gas tax means people who can't drive aren't punished for other driver's lifestyles. It just looks like punishment for drivers because they are too accustomed to people who can't live the same as them having to pay their bills.

Big trucks hauling your foods and supplies from other places to your local groceries stores cause damage to the roads. But you think only people who drive cars should pay for them?

no problem if you do the batterless cars that run off power rails in the road. the car has a small backup battery for side roads and connects to rail on avenues and highways. lightweight no battery heaviness more efficient

Power rails... in the road? Roads which constantly crack and split from the freezing and heating from the change of seasons and exposure to weather? That sounds like a great idea to mix with high currents of electricity.
not that complicated i would bet. and we can save the environment from lithium

Wanna show him the effects of putting elecric heating under roads in flash freeze environments?
do overhead powerlines, a ything is better than lithium toxicity

Stop questioning the genius of powering the roads. Once we've powered them all and pumped a few gigajigawatts into the road grid, everyone will be able to travel back in time if they have a vintage DeLorean.

Plus think of all the roasted pedestrians. Suddenly quick, effective euthanasia is accessible to everyone!

You know that's on an electric line right....electric train systems are fine but you need the line for it's power.
