i messed upon the second half of that code and didnt get the $500 billion
The devs are trying their best to nerf the human class. It started with The Fall D.L.C., when they made humans mortal and gave human females a gestation period. However, that came with reproductive capabilities that turned out to be overpowered.
The flood update was the one that supposed to nerf humans with a hard server reset, but the developers stupidly decided to give humans a 3:1 population ratio advantage over the other species, so it didn't work.
There've been other attempts too. We were supposed to get an End of the Mayan Calendar update, but the devs. either forgot or abandoned it. The only announcement we have to look forward to now is the announced rapture update that' is taking forever.
However, with all of the A.I. stuff that has been added to the game recently, there are also rumors of a Skynet update that may introduce an android class that might be fun to play. Fingers crossed!
- Fixed an inconsistency with the "spine" hurting on some people
- Nerf currency gain on players with over 500 million dollars
- Removed "Vladamir Putin" from the game
And yes - the tutorial is rather boring and misleading. And it´s not that they tell You everything, as it´s based on version 1.0 - they wouldn´t talk about the new stuff they added later, or all the changes in the patches. So experienced players know that the tutorial sounds more like a joke compared to the real game afterwards. But that´s mainly, because at some point they wanted to add more realism, as people complained about it being too fictional with those past philosophy updates, which are now obsolete.
The main quest is still the same though. Grow up, get a job, a family, a house, plant a tree, and finally die to finish the game. Ez. Too ez. Somehow they didn´t address that part by now, even if enough people complained about it for a long time - but imho most people absolutely love the concept, as they like to conserve things, so it guess it won´t be changed anytime soon. Most of all the job part, as that seems to be like quite a chore nowadays after the industrialization DLC. You basically compete with machines for money, while money is life, and only those who can afford a machine have really much money - i mean come on, that was a lame design decision, and leads nowhere.
I guess the nice part is, that it nerfed like 90% of all humans, while some might see it as challenge to be part of the 10% who are still OP. And many say that all humans wouldn´t be doing anything any more, if they hadn´t that goal to be a top 10% player. While the hard part is still to keep smiling while You kill to get there. It feels somehow empty, and the emotions are usually used as a tool to min max it, instead of being used to show some feelings, like it should be. They could add something more to it. But mods solve that - to support the roleplay aspect a bit better, while most prefer to minmax anyways. And then it´s either about this or that - instead of finding a good middle ground, which is somehow sad. But it always comes down to the player...
Humans briefly demonstrated some intelligence in understanding mutually assured destruction.
Society briefly lost control and humans were allowed to act as they thought they ought to.
