Its not boring, its just that we hardened in regards to information. By now we have seen it all, there is nothing special or new in crazy stuff anymore and even the wackiest opinion or people will not really impress or shock us anymore.
Its a bit like you teleport yourself into a world of magic, eventually nothing will surprise or impress you anymore, no matter how cool the magic might be.
Same with the internet. Look at Xero Daxter, during the 90s this guy would have gained 100% attention on most online forums due to dressing up in girl's clothes and wearing somewhat colourful costumes, nowadays no one is shocked by this anymore, its just your typical steam forums user, just some guy that tries to look like an anime character or something, not a shocker anymore.
