What do you love about living in the western world ?
What do you love and hate about living in the western world ?

What I love:

That we are pretty flexible, versatile, multi-cultural (but only the positive side), have in common that pretty much all western countries aim for democracy, freedom of choice, opinion and speech (for the most part) and that people can pretty much freely decide HOW they want to live their life without being stoned or arrested or beaten up by strangers.

I like that we have the best medical healthcare on the planet and life is generally safe and advanced.

I like that we have mostly abolished the mandatory military service and militarisation of society for the most part.

What I refer to: Western countries, is countries in the EU as well as the U.S and Canada.

The good thing of the western world is that nobody has to work the insane amount of hours ppl work (generally) in countries like Japan and South Korea

Generally true yes, except for the U.S in which some people have two jobs. Not every western country has strict work regulation laws, but most EU countries do.

Korea and Japan has these laws as well, but these laws are often ignored by companies and people due to an obsessive mentality in society.

I get to sleep peacefully at night.
I get to be picky on what I eat.
I can have a gun legally.

Having a gun legally isn't really an attribute of western countries and exclusive with the U.S only.

At least as freely as they handle it. In my country 99% of people from the U.S would never get their hands on a firearm OR lose their license within a few weeks due to neglient handling, lol.

Clean water, reliable electricity, and knowing you can obtain food easily.

Fun fact but I don't have a gun. The gun in my profile picture is fake and actually has orange markings on it.

I have not even looked at your profile and I am not gonna bother to ask you WHY you would have a FAKE gun in a country where you can buy a firearm in every supermarket legally, lol.

Whatever dude.

Which country? What constitutes negligent handling of a firearm?

Someone shooting their assault rifle in their backyard, somewhere into the sky or storying their firearms at home in places any fool could access them. Thats negligent and would easily make you lose your license in pretty much all European countries, even in countries like Finnland, Switzerland or CZ, which are a lot more loose on gun laws.

Good reason to not buy one then I guess. But you could learn gun handling in some course.

I couldn't because I lived California. I moved out of there so I might consider it later.
