I let myself get into it a few times. It was oddly subduing, transported me back and yet also to a different time. Reminds me of the one time I had acupuncture done, very similar. I haven't given it much thought about what and why though.

my ex fiance was into it.
-I made scratching recordings occationally for her when we still were together.
I not quite got it but it made her happy so if an hour scrathcing and recording her makes her calm and happy why not.

when we already broke up and were just friends.. she was a lot on some asmr youtube channel..
where she wasted WAY to much time moderating, even donating money (a thing I never would have suspected she would do)

she even started her own asmr channe...
in the end.. she found her new partner by those channels..

the downside.. our friendship suffered once she got a new partner.. as logically that new dude did not very much liked her spending time with the ex...

lets say I never quite got it..
-I only saw that when she was basicly in stressed and killmode... it made her kalmer..

me : no sound does that to me. but if somebody touches some spots in my neck that happens.. is it like that?

so I guess I never will fully get it..

but I see it as relatively harmless..
