i think its just lack of education, after high school most people never bother do anything with their life, that is easy for cheaper labor so its there same as paid medicine.
PS... meant hundreds of millions of people. There are people in many countries in the world who are jailed, tortured, vilified, lose everything or even killed for speaking out. American's are lucky and have this enshrined in law and it should never be repelled.
Yet you have millions of young american's wanting to do away with such freedoms not evening knowing the consequences of doing so.
I don't have time to find it at the moment.... but didn't Ronald Reagan not make a speech once about 'if freedom dies in the america, they is nowhere else to run too'. His words speak so true.
The difference would be that official journalists ( you have to go get an education on it to become one ) and media companies trying to bring factual news do try to fact check before hand and in the case it went wrong they themselves make a public correction about it.
Alex Jones had to be dragged in front of a judge to get him corrected.
Its a pretty significant diffenrence.
And that's why it's important to give everyone an equal platform instead of suppressing some and promoting others. It's the only way the internet can return to being "the place where bad ideas go to die."
Given Musk's latest statements, probably not.
The lies told in Steam chat could potentially lead to people dying, whereas Alex Jones just leads to people having hurt feelings.
And I think the 1 billion dollars in lawsuits kind of says it all.
Or if we're looking for offensive speech, many of the folks who are against Alex Jones support Joe Biden Palestine Supporters flying swastickas and chanting genocidal talk against Jews in Universities. I'd say this example of is much more dangerous and offensive then what Alex said.

Kids dying to mass shooters is not a "show", no matter how much Alex Jones implies so.
I wonder what changed?
Criticize person, person bad. Don't think about big picture, just see person and get angry!
wouldn't be surprised if someone did that again.
