i think ai, or whatever it is, is not sentient, so its mostly same you can replace ai with anything really. humans invent "ai", where ai is just something, and by that we should stop progress and let people decide what is right or wrong, which in most cases self-egotistical pursuits. if anything ai that copies these trends could be called "human replication" that is ai in my mind is not just ai trying to replicated human nature.

but that is what humans would do, given same power no? ai is not trying to actively replace anyone.

that is sadly what life would be ragardless of ai, in most 3rd world countries ie majority of earth population, ie most countries in the world, life is already been replaced many times, their jobs destroyed etc, its just waiting a situation really, it could be not ai, but for example some new other technology that would be used to enslave other people, in ai actually there is real possibility to counter that to create intelligence that will not be corrupt against humans, that is our only hope really, humans in default are corrupt, they always only concern themselves with own survival, which is why global poverty is probably what most people on earth experience and almost anyone can either become homeless or poor, in this case we use ai to solve corruption among humans rather than replicate corruption.
