Do you consider "nerd" to be a bad word?

My main account just got banned tonight for 3 days because I called someone a nerd.

The exact sentence was "Go through his post history and see for yourself, nerd."
Because the guy above was being a smart ahh (gotta be careful how I phrase myself here).
anyway, you think the ban is justified?

Definitely not. Though that is pretty extreme for using a not-even-close-to-derogatory term (look at all the people that claim to be a “[insert occupation/interest/hobby here] nerd” on there instagram bio lol.)

It was, but nowadays it's more of a good word I think. But Steam moderation is really weird. It's becoming a minefield akin to reddit, you can just get banned at any time for anything.

Not really, I even call girls as nerd, and for me is just some cute and friendly word. But also be said that I'm not native english speaker, so this word for me exist in the context of videogames.
