Who knew a group of bees could carry around a broadsword.
I’ll let you interpret how the player acquires that item for yourself.
They probably forged it in their hive.
In the game, nearly any non-stackable item like weapons, armor, food, and resources have what is known as a bank note version. It’s essentially a piece of paper with the item’s icon on it, and you “exchange it” at a bank for the real thing. You’re also able to withdraw items from them as bank notes, as well.
It’s a clever system that enables you to carry around a huge amount of any item, since the bank note version is always stackable, and gives a lot of believability to loot. You’re not carrying around like 100 chestplates in your bag, instead you have what amounts to a check or other form that can be cashed in for the actual thing. And you can realistically assume that the bank can have them shipped in for you, considering there’s basically a universal banking system across the entire world that lets you access your stored gear from anywhere.
But the thing that’s funny and kind of weird about it is that there are many enemies in RS, particularly bosses, that drop loot in noted form. So instead of getting like 5 cooked lobsters, you’ll instead get five bank notes for a cooked lobster, that you can then turn in at the bank to get the actual item.
So sometimes when you’re killing monsters, rather than giving you actual loot, they just drop an I.O.U. instead.
String
Tal Rasha armor found on Champion Swarm on Act 2, legit swarms of insects can wear a full plate mail.
String is very useful. But anyone who makes an iron farm without taming a bunch of cats and sitting them down in the safe area to prevent more kitties from spawning in the lava are far more heartless bastards than the worst villager-abuser.

That reminds me for some reason: the talking spiders scene in The Witcher was face-palmingly bad. No, just no. Edit: Or was it the new Dark Crystal. ♥♥♥♥, I watch too much ♥♥♥♥.
no Witcher experience at all, do remind me what scene is this :P
Also, it's distressing how it's become a common practice to kill the first wandering trader you meet in early game for his leads. It's not that much extra effort to trap his lamas, force him into a boat and travel a short distance to drop the leads so you can get them without wanton murder. Even if their trades are always worthless and their leads are the only thing of value that they have.
I'm pretty sure it's from either The Witcher of Dark Crystal, but I can't for the life of me find the clip on Youtube. A bunch of spiders crawl onto a web and join together to form a bunch of scrappy faces and start talking. It's ridiculous.
