so they have these clubs / subscriptions for foods
yeah they exist

some more direct ones are like omaha steaks and those meal prepped food subs

then some lesser known ones like the marshmallow company (i think in new zeland or aussies)
and the doom prepper meal prep items for stuff like storms and such. Also i think japan has some like kit kats and some sweets and treats care package subs.

then some more expensive obscure ones like a bacon of the month club and a club / sub that gives you different nuts every month walnuts macadamias etc.

i found this out and it blew my mind.

pricing be damned you can literally order different flavors of bacon or different nuts or rather get some different ones every month or so. Hand crafted gourmet ones i may add that you can just buy halfway across the world even. And they'll deliver it right to your mailbox!!!!

I'm not American, your thing doesn't exist where I live...

In the place where I live we still use our legs to move around and buy food

it's more international foods or gourmet ones not just so much the act of actually buying them.

i'd love to see where i can buy a toffee coconut creme marshmallow and maple and chocolate smoked grilled bacon strips
there was one of dipped / coated strawberries or berries / grapes

gourmet styled ones like with sugar or cinnamon spiced etc.

ngl it made me wanna eat fruit more often
Someone gifted us an annual la boite du fromager subscription a couple of years ago. We got three cheeses and two bottles of wine monthly. We used to really look forward to it, but not enough to keep paying for it.

The only one I ever thought was kind of decent was "Harry & David," which specializes in fruit and confections. (At that time, IIRC)

But, honestly, unless a company is delivery some rare delicacy, they're just not worth the subscription rate - Just buy it yourself.

As indicated above, the attraction for subscribers is the monthly delivery pay-off feeling, like it's a "special day." That's fine, too, if one wants to have their own special day every month. Nothing wrong with treating oneself/loved-ones.

(The "get a box of random mystery themed stuff once a month" subs rely heavily on that, too.)

yeah they cost like $40-$100 and varies as gifts and special presents. Most of the subs form what i know get most of the bulk of their influx of members from gifts for the holidays like the omaha steak commericials.

I really appreciate you starting the thread actually because I've been wracking my brain trying to think of a christmas gift for a certain someone, and I completely forgot about food/wine gift subscriptions. They really do make great gifts.

I go to Costco. Not gonna lie but the food court is amazing.
The Japanese snack box that I see advertised on YouTube is Bokksu.
It looks pretty good.

I joined one on Amazon that 's for highly rated chocolate.
They sent Ferrero Rocher the first month.
And then...Kind Bars. Totally inappropriate. Kind bars are just nuts with a tiny bit of dark chocolate.
I doubt I'll keep subbing.
Whoever is running it doesn't know what they're doing.

Omaha steaks might be worth it.
