I'm 39yo. I've heterosexual. I've never kissed a woman. I'm still a virgin. I missed my high school prom (I went to an all-boys Catholic school and I didn't have access to females).

Now I'm fat and ugly (I used to be much better looking when I was a teenager).

Could you imagine? There would likely be a whole culture developed around men staying chaste so they can get their wizard powers when they turn 30. Young men who have sex before 30 would be laughed at and ridiculed for trading actual magic powers for a moment of pleasure. Women would probably be out there trying their best to seduce young men in an effort to prevent them from getting their wizard powers.

There's potentially a good story here.
