I'll just stick to my feather quills and ink.
lazy artist? dont they just tape a banana to a wall?
I can see a good use for arts and technical drawing. It's pretty tiring when you need to erase large portions. You either go too soft on it and it takes forever or you go too hard and the paper gets damaged. I can see a good electrical eraser apply the perfect pressure at all times.
I used one when drafting, decades ago. (Back when drafting was actually done by hand, with very nice pencils, on paper... ) I even had my own home drafting table. I also used eraser "putty." It is what it sounds like it is. In fact, I had several different types of erasers that were good for different types of tasks.
Most drafting pencils didn't have erasers, IIRC.
For artists, I can see a very definite use for an electric eraser - The control there is key and not enough pressure is needed on the paper/media.
They are for kids. Or for artistic applications.
Adults in general use pens. If you did a mistake just use a whitener, though I do not really care and just scribble on top of it lol.
