i was born in the early 2000s so i did not see the shift entering the eu but except for the euro currency i really don't know what the point of this organization is, it just exists,

i dont know why we should fix the greek economy, why we should throw billions at eastern countries i cannot locate on a map, i don't feel any sense of security from being in an organization with czec republic and spain

The point is very easy. Before the EU half of Europe was under the influence of the USA, the other half was under the influence of the Soviet Union, and we had the years of lead in Italy because both the NATO and the Soviet had interests in Italy due to it's strategic position.

With the EU everything has changed. In future we might have a Constitution and our own Army.
