I don't feel that I belong to either; really, I only belong to the universe (and, obviously, Earth). Legally, I "belong" to America.

Better in some ways, and worse in others. 🤷

3) Due to your foreign policy, the USA is one of the most hated country in the world, how do you cope with it?
I've long known that America is (and Americans often are) extremely hated around the world. Unfortunately, I don't have control over the government's decisions, people's perceptions, etc. If people hate me for being an American without actually getting to know me and my personal values/beliefs, than that's not really a person I want to affiliate myself with anyways. 🤷

4) How do you feel about your cuisine?
American cuisine is okay, but I often prefer European cuisine. As a first generation American on 1 side of my family (of whom I am closest with and grew up alongside), I grew up eating a lot of non-American cuisine (i.e., Hungarian, Slavic, Mediterranean, etc.).

I've never really thought of a single country or continent being the "main country" of the Western world. 🤷

We do have a term... American citizens or US citizens.

Well, also America is not a country but a continent. I'm talking about the European nations, and I don't think nations such as Germany, just to name one, who has the highest GDP than any state from the USA, does feel jealous about anything.

These are just simply questions just to make a topic, do not turn it into a fight between the USA and the EU.

America is a country and everyone calls the US america. this is bait.

America is not a continent. North America is a continent as is South America.

Which european nation? All european nations aren't one nation and again europe isnt a nation but a continent. so what nations are we comparing specifically.

Dont know why im even replying to this inane anti-American bait.

why do you embrace the european union, whats your reasoning behind that?
Personally, after the cold war who split the Europe in half, and half of it was under the NATO and the other half was under the Soviet Union, I embrace the EU because historically and at the present moment, we have always been some of the major actors in the history of the world, just keep in mind the America and the USA is the result of our colonialism, and the last thing I want to see now, is a fighting Europe like it has happened for thousands of years.

Why do you create a discriminatory thread like this?

I wasn't, just stating a fact. Why does anyone talk about anyone in a bad light it's more so then not because of jealously.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Asking if you like your cusine is not an anti-American questions, and according to history, white Americans come from Europe, so the question in simply words is if you still feel connected to the European traditions your parents or granparents had or not.

This is not a discriminating topic so stop the drama. The user @S0FTERSIN has given good answers as the topic is meant to have.

Our distant cousins trying to ignore they were once European doesn't make them any less European simply because they were born somewhere else and a few hundred years have passed by.

By that same token, through that same distant link that makes Europeans just as American as Americans because without us there would be no America as you know it, it would be all Native America today instead.

europe =/= the european union, the constant competition between european countries throughout history is what made them relevant, did you know that the european union is pushing a political agenda that doesnt benefit anyone and also destroys all of its members financially?
Europe = European nations in the European continent.
EU = the Union of the European Nations. I know these are 2 different things and I made 2 separated questions if you pay attention. One is related to the Europe in general, the other one is related to the EU as a country.

Yes, we have a Parliament, a Senate, we are working at a Costitution, we don't need a Passport or a VISA, we have directives, we can work or study anywhere in the EU without any reason, we don't have borders, we have a European Commission, a President of the European Commission, European elections, a currency, the Schengen Area and much more.
