Alas there needs to be a rally. Stop the anime girl profile pics! Have some class and culture. bring back the funny names with funny pics or ironic ones. Not just anime tiddies everywhere. I love anime too! but its gotten overused.

There are only really two states. Internal or external dominant.

If the avatar is viewed as external then it's like a pinup girl, puppet mentality, or a means of obfuscation (alter how others perceive and interact).

If the avatar is viewed as an aspect of the internal, or a symbolic manifestation, then it's stability focused and functional augmentation through altering one's own reflection. A desire component would be directly or indirectly a redirection of libido back onto the self, as a mode of transmutation and diffusion. Most likely an avatar would be chosen that would facilitate these different modes as needed.

I suppose a third aspect that merges the two is like a painting on the wall. It reminds someone of something and is like a gateway or window to that place.

I'm quite certain that older people(40+) prefer NOT to use them and don't want to, that is unless they haven't fully matured yet, which seems that's more the case now a days

People have the right to use whatever hardens their dong, but it gives some kids the wrong message and sends 'em in the wrong direction.
