Your link shows a steady decline in euthanized animals which is a good thing.
I knew someone would find a problem with this post, and I specifically expected that someone to be a cat person lol
Yes the trend is good. 1 million+ per year is still bad.
But I would love for there to be more dogs in the US. Less pitbulls though.
It stops or really slows down the aging process so that dog can live for much longer!
The FDA has already indicated a willingness to endorse a longevity drug for dogs.
San Francisco-based biotech company Loyal has announced its anti-aging drug for canines.
LOY-001 is an injection version.
LOY-003 is a daily pill version.
It's previously managed to extend the life of a roundworm by 500% and even reverse the signs of aging in mice.
There are 200 million stray dogs and and around 480 million stray cats globally. In fact there are more stray cats than there are pet cats.
I'm with Grendalcat on this, how about we find those strays homes before increasing the global populations of either cats or dogs? If people really want and are willing to care for a pet, there are no shortage of animals that could benefit from a loving home as it currently stands.

There's too many already... they'er putting them down by the thousands there's so many...
That's not how that works...
While I like dogs can cats, Too much would be a nuisance.
Idk roving packs of wild dogs that I could infiltrate and become their pack leader sounds pretty cool, then I can dress them up like greasers and we can have giant knife fights with cat greaser squads.
