What's your opinion on feminism?
Would the world be better off without it or is it good? Explain. I think it's okay for women to have equal rights but I don't like it when it's forced into media.

As a woman, I can freely say that I am not a fan of feminism, and I won't be considered sexist or a misogynist. 😜😏

Feminism used to be ran by people who actually acted on their beliefs. Now they just sit around and complain.

If you ever run into a feminist, just act like you know someone who is a better feminist than they are. It gets them riled lol

True, and the thing is, I like listening to what people have to say and I'm genuinely curious what "feminists" are even fighting for anymore. However every time it is just gibberish and complaints with no example. When in education, remember, you were taught to support your statements with an example.

that, and expectations that come around masculinity and femininity, which inevitably affect how others perceive you, as well as how you perceive yourself and what you even think you could be
but why can't you just be a man and stay at home for your childrens and do shores like cleaning
Why can't you be a woman and work in an oil rig and construction, you have freedom and equality.

Like if rights were equal no one would see a problem with that.
Name a right men have which women do not.

being trans isn't about conforming to broader expectations
I mean yeah that's true but it can be a reason to some peoples just like it can not be like that i see some trans peoples like the idea to be the typical woman even in stereotypes
yeah, some trans people's own personal views of genders line up with broader society's to such an extent

but also if you become trans and don't change your habits like saying you're a Lumberjack and suddenly you're a woman and were formerly a guy peoples will still have a weird look even if you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ destroy those trees just as you did before.
seems like the issue is other people treating their perceptions of gender as universal

what's next, having a game where you can play as a soviet soldier means communism is being forced onto you?
But that's appropriate. It's not forced communism, it's just communism. Anita in Starfield is jarring. It's like a pineapple on top of a pizza, a Bowie knife stashed in a bag of peanuts. It is forced.
i really don't get how this is such an issue
like, no, you're not having feminism forced onto you, you're going out of your way to see things nobody ever forced you to see in the game

No, no, no, not onto me. No, it's just forced in general. Forced into the media, not onto me.

Whatever you say, buckaroo. It's totally not being forced into games by executives who think it's what the normies want. *cough cough*

https://youtu.be/bIkUy9YcDko

Like, nobody would ever acknowledge that they're forcing it into media, right? Right? Surely nobody would ever do that, so there's no examples, definitely.

Not like it's being forced in to appease journalists, that's definitely a radical thought.

Feminism today is just a synonym for "much profit with lowest possible effort". ¯\_:johnFace:_/¯

Riiiiiiiiight...

Kathleen Kennedy standing around with "The Force is Female" shirts putting females in 98% of the lead rolls...

Nope... not "forced into the media" at all... :steamfacepalm:

Who are you trying to fool here?...

apparently it's unthinkable for devs or storywriters to add minorities or marginalized groups for anything other than brownie points
it can't possibly be a genuine decision, it MUST be something geared towards marketing

and even if the guy was a wholly reliable narrator... that's literally only one game
it's not proof that there's a widespread forcing of feminism into media any more than you could say that about literally any other topic that could ever come up

Safe to say that every series like that one, where politics has no place yet incorporates it anyways, does it for the same reasons.

Why would a company intentionally do something to piss off it's audience, if not for money and attention? People wouldn't oust themselves in the name of equality, and if you look at the people at the top, it's obviously not a personal statement.

The truth is, it's comparable to anime's with too much fanservice. It's an attempt to hide a sinking ship.

There's realistically no chance it's done for genuine reasons. I don't believe you believe that, anyhow. You'd doubt so many other things, but not this.

If I were you, I'd denounce such unhinged greed entirely. They surely sabotage what you want. But to each their own.

I believe men and women are biologically different but equal all the same.

yeah but can you show me that this is a recurring theme?
also, are there really "no politics" in those games? or was it that you missed them until something you "disagreed with" appeared?

usually it's the writers that are in charge of writing, and even still i've often seen cases of higher ups trying to censor these "political" things, especially in shows and series
so i'm not so sure about that

also... what exactly is it that pisses off the audience anyway?
