I don't understand how people get a girlfriend

I'm nearly 23 and still don't fully understand why near enough all my peers are able to get girlfriends. I feel like every girl already has a boyfriend or doesn't want to talk to me.

When I try breaking through the ice and offer to hang out or straight up ask them out it's met with rejection or an excuse of some kind.

I want to improve and find success but I'm not sure where to go next. I already go to the gym to try get lean as I'm skinny fat right now, but what else must be done to be seen as a potential partner?

I don't really know either. The only girlfriend I've had was my co-worker at one time. Modern feminism had made it harder to approach women without seeming like a creep.

Well, in simple terms, someone 'on the rebound' has started a new relationship before they're over the old one. They still have a lot to work through from the break up but aren't ready to face it yet. The rebound relationship is essentially just helping to distract them until they're forced to face it.

Yeah when i was younger i did straight up refuse multiple times, didn't want to hurt those poor girl's feelings but also several took it as a rejection when i told them i didn't had a phone number because they thought i was lying.

Before you get a girlfriend, try get 10 female friends first. Learn how to talk to them, maintain that friendship for few months.

Listen to them and making yourself a person whom they will call when they feel troubled. If you can do this, asking some of them to be your girlfriend and the result will be an ok.
