Rice from pot pan is not bad any time I made it. One time I used the stupid rice cooker and that got bad. Stupid thing doesn't work quite as well seemingly.
I'm asking because the rice was mushy when cooked accordingly to the instruction. So I cooked it a bit longer and it was like glue.

Do bad rice exist? I bought the cheapest one.
You probably shoulda washed the rice first
We need a rice mastercook to chime in on this one!

Eh-hem! Add less water, young one.

Mastery takes time, keep trying.

Bottom may become a bit hardened, it is normal on non-rice-cooker. You can comsume it if it's not burned. It's like a cracker desert with sugar(no, I mean eat it with sugar) after your meal!

The recipe for rice is simple. For 3 cups of cooked rice, you need 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water. Bring the water to a boil, add salt to taste, add the rice, return to a boil, once boiling again, set the burner to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. I never have a problem.

And don't rinse the rice, as it is fortified and washing it removes the nutrients.
