Does anyone still watch "edited for television" movies?
My girlfriend and I were visiting her father in a nursing home and his "roommate" was watching Harry Potter and the deathly hallows.

I can't begin to imagine how much content was cut to add commercials and play on cable.

My father was constantly taping stuff off TV. Many of the movies I grew up with had been mangled and I didn't realize how badly until decades later.

I remember when I was younger and saw the theatrical version of Shawshank Redemption so many swears.

I highly recommend the original Gundam made-for-tv re-edit to form a continguous film.
Does anyone still watch tv period?

I'll finish IBO, okay?
I remember some 80's movie where one angsty teen was calling another a "big fluffy nerd" and they took offense to that.
Sometimes censorship changed a serious movie into a comedy.

I don't really watch TV anymore
It's not just cut for commercial time, it's mainly cut for shorter air time.

And no. That ruins films.

Sorry I was unclear, I meant both and content cut for censorship.
