MrBeast did something helpful for charity, then the government got embarrassed that they couldn't do the very same thing within the time frame?
Wells water supply might not last forever and those electric bikes still need to be charged/maintained, yet it's still something positive, even if temporary. It's also not just like we will do this just for fame on youtube, as they actually went over there and did all those things, manual labour, etc.
The only people who hate Mr Beast are those that don't understand how philanthropy charity actually works.
Philanthropy attracts the focus of a huge audience to back and support it's goal, therefore it can appear like greed and doing it for your own show, yet it all gets pumped back into the charity, plus the audience views/donations. Then they take a tax cut from that. So rather than paying out taxes to your own government for roads, etc... you give it away to charities for other causes. Only extremely rich people with a large audience can achieve that.
I know nothing about the guy and certainly don't hate him, but making a big show of philanthropy is distasteful. I wonder if he ever read Major Barbara.
It's what most assume, by the way it's done...
However, the only personal corruption is a tax cut for the super rich. It's benefiting the charity more than your current government using those very same taxes. A mere redirect of money, in which others might also follow and support via donations. Then there's commonly a sponsorship on top of that too, which means even children or anyone not paying, but merely viewing the video can provide ad profits towards that charity.
The questionable corruption comes down to when they do it with family/friends. They will sometimes do that, even Mr Beast has. That is the actual funnelling of money off to another individual, rather that just charity.
So yes, tax cuts, family and friends... sure there's personal gain. The rest is however positive towards charity.
Except that makes no sense to ever claim.
In a billion years.
Good lord, mindless hate is not a good thing.
Him doing this is a great thing.
The only people who can be mad about someone helping poor people in Africa get better water are people who hate Africans.
And those people who hate them are not good people and should go join the KKK. Be honest about themselves. :P
Have we learned nothing from the last 300 years of human history?
I'm just curious.
Nothing fake here.
And you clearly haven't read anything.
