Ghosts are kind of famous for this.
What I think a lot of people now-a-days aren’t aware of is the history of the pre-colonized Americas. For some reason, many people (especially younger ones) have been mislead into thinking that the western world some utopian-like place prior to when the Europeans came in and settled here.
Contrary to whatever bull crap is being told to you on social media, the Native American tribes were incredibly brutal and hostile toward each other. There was plenty of bloodshed and genocidial wars happening before the days of Christopher Columbus and the like. And yes, the Native Americans also participated in slavery. I know that people want to tell you that slavery was “the white man’s business”, but no: warring tribes would go in and capture members of other tribes and enslave them. And even when the time came that areas of North America were being settled by Europeans who brought over slaves from Africa, there were also Native American tribesmen whom became members of these new European societies and would even own black slaves themselves.
That’s the part of history that people need to hear about: the one that’s being intentionally skewed for the purpose of creating racial division in current day for political purposes.
We all make fun of Merica and its gun problem but damn, their first school shooting was perpetrated by a native war band.
It's like they're bots!
Or following a seasonal script.
Some would say the present is horrible.
