Why do the British hate the Americans so much while Americans adore Brits?

I'll never understand this, they hate Americans and practically foam at the mouth towards them. This is present in almost all British TV,Media and News. Meanwhile Americans tend to like British folks and their Media. It always seemed weird to me.

The simple truth is that Europe's unwanted degenerates jumped ship and went to the New World to make a life for themselves. When this unofficial colony managed to thrive instead of starving and dying off, Europe sent soldiers to remind them who was still in charge. That's extremely vague and I have no idea what you're talking about.

You need to do bit more research. England defended itself and even if Battle of Britain in the air failed the South East had transformed itself into guerrilla central that would have culminated in the gradual withdrawal of forces and becoming a war of attrition with an estimated loss of a million people and the German's losing.

Please research more on the home guard and its training beyond what the jokes are about.

Much of the work was dismantled and the rubble / bricks were put into rebuilding housing and infrastructure.

don't know about now but when i was a brat you could still see some of the underground bunkers fenced off by the MOD for use in WW2 by the guerrilla / special forces.
Those assigned that duty were given 10 days rations for when the call came and could not say a thing about what they were to do or had done or anything about it for 30 + years even after the war.
Asked why only ten days they were told you wont be alive any longer.

I know how effective the SAS were at times during WW2, but there are times they also failed pretty badly as well. the home guard luckily was never really tested with a full blown invasion against a battle hardened German military. but that's just one of those what if's that we will never know.

I am not talking about the SAS and you have shown you have done very little research in that field by saying the SAS in the defence should operation sea lion fail.
