Why do the British hate the Americans so much while Americans adore Brits?
I'll never understand this, they hate Americans and practically foam at the mouth towards them. This is present in almost all British TV,Media and News. Meanwhile Americans tend to like British folks and their Media. It always seemed weird to me.

tough tits for them but nobody's going around being nice to american citizens are they?

Why would people going around being rude to American citizens?

Because the whole world hates Americans, and for good reason.

And if they're going around treating Americans like crap because they're Americans then it says more about them as a person than it does the Americans.

No, it says nothing. They're the ones saying ♥♥♥♥; you're advocating letting them.
One of my best friends is American.

He probably works for the CIA encouraging people to say bad things about the US to galvanize flouride brains into having knee-jerk eagle pride.

Or the BIS drafting proposals to make the CIA do this, to complement their own efforts with their bean laden subjects.

Because not leaving America means that one is implicitly supporting imperialism by participating in that society.

The only moral action is to get out before the imperialist house of cards collapses.

Otherwise, animosity is justified, as Americans who denounce imperialism while still paying taxes to the world’s largest imperial economy are hypocritically enjoying the fruits of imperialism.

I have not seen this foaming at the mouth phenomenon and the UK media are always talking about a special relationship.

the US is the only country that accepts UK citizens.

Canada and Australia have a quota, and it's filled every year by nobility who want to tour there.

HK used to accept anyone before the handoff.

everyone else hates their guts and assumes anyone who leaves is a spy.

No. It says that people like you give the USA a very big black eye. And the world thinks you are a typical American. So of course they hate all of us.
But you are such a big expert about everything political, how can you not know about the hate the world has for Americans? Because of the ones like you.

Really?

Yes the American Invasion of Iraq really was a stinker for the British actually and the American handling of Afghanistan didn't help things either.

Leaving the EU was British and rather foolish and people are slowly realising the EU not perfect but better than what was promised by the Brexiteers.

The EU took measures to instead of being neutral on the matter, make it as difficult as they possibly can on the people in the UK, and many ideologues in government have intentionally slow walked the process in order to try to claim they told brexiters they were right. And even with all of that considered, it hasn't even come close to a fraction of the doom and gloom that the media was promising people if the UK left. Don't forget that, people on both sides wanted the British people to suffer for it, and they haven't.

Get a megaphone and say that in some areas.

The EU like many people were astonished that Theresa May went straight to article 50 without any real discussion before hand with rest of the EU.

And the big traffic jams are about to happen did you see the news on what is going to happen with passport control?
- some say it will be fine (time wise) and others saying there are going to be big tailbacks from the port at Dover.

Not to mention the data they are going to collect on all none eu citizens that includes Britons its like can we just go back to getting a passport photo and thats it?

How any dangerous criminal masterminds and terrorists they really catch with these measures?

rant over of various nothing to do with stuff in post.

Britons are 750 quid worse off than other countries that is quite significant when people are skint already.

maybe they should hate the people actually responsible, like the british.

poor mercenary US doesn't deserve any of the hate their military excursions have brought them.

that'd be like China hating Japan for the several hundred incidents of Nanking-esque sacking.

I have not seen this foaming at the mouth phenomenon and the UK media are always talking about a special relationship.

The media always likes to play it up, always sensationalise it and turn it into the effect of propaganda for the political party in power, you can tell the ones that side with the tories from the ones that go with labour almost right away and it plays into international things like the special relationship.

i don't know how americans view our relationship to them, but to us in the UK, a lot is made of this special relationship because the Americans were there for us in both world wars even though they could have sat back and done nothing, they were well within their right to.

they don't; at best they consider you a weak and poor ally that sometimes says funny things.

the perception is usually mutual, except among Cultured World Citizens who like to pretend the majority of their country doesn't exist.

whispers....they waited for the Germans to have lost their edge in both wars and they joined WW2 needing the ports in India and wanting joint British support against Japan with the Indian Army.

Battle of Britain was held by the British and then operation sea lion was no more.

The major American assistance came with its supplys sold at highly inflated prices before military involvement.

....ends whispering.

India kicked ass!
I asked couple of British people and they all said no

Even so, it was support that was needed otherwise the UK citizens would have been putting their arm our shouting "Mien Fuhrer!" with Hitler driving past on UK roads waving at his hands at his newest German subjects.

The UK was out of airpower by the time the Americans loaned their fighters to the UK to fend off German fighters and bombers.

okay the uk spent a bit paying it all off, but they did and proved they held up their end. Despite that there is a lot to be thankful for with Americans coming in and saving the UK.
