oh the media - let's call it "political clickbait" just marketing literally...
The thing is when Americans and obviously not all I was taken up on saying that recently.
But when Some Americans are very arrogant in forums and express their political stances and say 'we spend our money and keep Europe afloat with our tourism' it rubs people the wrong way.
Or they say we saved everybody's ass and genuinely showing a lack of understanding about the world, the war (whichever war they are talking about there have been numerous) and general common sense.
Sometimes 'friendly fire' and Americans lack of control when it comes to other countries soldiers can be a sore point.
Doing business with Americans on a corporate level is difficult because for all its gun ho attitude it can be frustrating when that gun ho turns the other way and cancels orders / business relationships.
Or you get a certain group within the American armed forces rather than say 'we worked with the UN on this thing in Africa' its 'we saved the UN's ass in Africa' .
Now before people get their Winchester peacemakers out...some of my best friends served in US Airborne and other areas of the service.

they've been waiting all morning for this moment
well no, they just forced the British to use them to exert themselves with.
otherwise colonial militias would tie up their army so much that rival empires could make gains.
all they took away was the image, and the british nobility are so image-obsessed that in their mind this is a deep-seated psychological weakness the American Empire of Not Canada, Mexico, or Any of South America inflicted on them.
