Many game developers already met this kind of stupid question, even those from outside US.
Being woke is not bad, but they should stop at real people, not game npc.
It told us what would happen if we let it spiral.

What most people don't understand is there are 'anti-woke' Karens, who complain for a sake of drama and/or shifting focus off other things.
Take any single individual complaining about something being 'woke' and look behind that into their actual motivation.
Youtube content creators listing thousands of 'woke' drama complaint videos just for clickbait views, even jumping to assumptions about new games yet to be released, such as GTA 6.
Elon Musk cries 'woke', yet has all his businesses (SpaceX, xTwitter, and Tesla) affected by sexual harassment cases, racism, discrimination, and anti-semitism, etc. You think his content on xTwitter is bad? Well you just haven't seen the nazi symbols drawings at Tesla companies, to the point that even nooses placed on black Tesla employees desk and hanged in Tesla cars during their manufacturing. You haven't seen the eSafety fine of $605K for mishandling of child abuse content on xTwitter, etc. You don't know his mental break down rage out upon Pride Month when he went full transphobic due to his own child being a transgender that disowned him and his ex-wife once also dated a transgender.
It's a pathetic "Chudpocalypse".

Look OP, here's a woke person, and instead of answering the question they go on a rant instead, pretending they know the "actual motivation" of EVERYONE complaining about woke. They are constantly projecting and shouting their crazy ideas at everyone, living in their own warped SJW world, being as disconnected from reality as possible. They will never listen to reason but just overwrite everything with "their own" ideas, which aren't even their own at all. That is what is wrong with them, among other things.

He's has a planned deal with Universal Orlando Resort and wants to create a train station in Florida accordingly with it.

Because it's not about having a discussion about cultural issues, if any. It's about purposefully forcing an interpretation or worldview on a reluctant public.
It also continues to perpetuate near-mythological tropes to justify itself with goals that are simply self-serving,. They're not responding to a cultural need, they're responding to the ideas of there being a need, itself.
For much of it, there's no sense to it. For the people, many of them seem to feel that they are part of a movement that is as culturally significant as the movement's in the 1960's in the US. And, therein lies the most important issue, IMO - They think they're being heroes, when all they have done is invented something to feel heroic about.
Regardless, they'll force their worldview and insist their interpretation must be adopted by all or "you are wrong and I am going to show you that you are wrong by putting terrible actors in movies while forcing your little boy wear a dress to school."
