I'm sorry, why does the X-files suck and no one noticed but me?

So I just started watching that show for the first time and um... yeah it's boring as hell? Why for my entire life have I heard how good it is? It's like watching Law & Order but with two weirdos who blame everything on aliens and spend 90% of the show in a dimly lit basement reading old files and yeah I know the show is called the X-Files so I figured there WOULD be SOME files, but it's like 90% of the show! I really thought they'd be actually catching aliens or something but yeah... it';s literally a show about two people reading files for an hour cool cool that's what the rest of the world is into cool...

Why do they keep taking stacks of files to hotel rooms? When they're not in the dimly lit basement they're in a hotel room, and one of them ALWAYS sees something out the window and runs into the woods, because there's always very thick woods next to the hotels they stay at. Never really watched it, but get what's about. The film features Armin Müller-Stahl, who os a well-known East German actor only playing a minor character, but iirc got his name featured on the cover for the German release. I suppose one of the reasons he got cast was simply due to his fame as the "James Bond from behind the Iron Curtain".

Some of the X-Files was actually good and scared me as a kid staying up late to watch them.

Season 4 was probably the best as it's based upon the real life Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I found true stories scare me the best.

x-files didn't suck, not one bit. It's also not often i see Robert Patrick in TV either other than the occasional film or episode in a TV Series.
