Don't need to. Just mark the end of the auction down and come back later.
What makes it safer though? And what warrants these transaction fees?
eBay is ok. I sold a lot of stuff in the past on there.
there are much more layers of incryption amd suthenfication in between.
making it impossible to havk into the datastrwam.. which woth leak as a sieve paypall is really easy.
users neef also multiple layers to log in.. not just name and password.. but the device you use get logged if you use a new device all transactions are blocked.. you het a call fron your bank yes a real person on the phonenummber you registrated with your bank in person.. to confirm you do this..
like any trabsaction on a new decice or in abother nation gets blocked. ias vomplex sodtware monitors?all transactikns and blocks the syspiciously ones..
99.99999% of any fraudulent transactions gey blocked
where visa has obly a 99.8% block ratio and paypalks is 93%..
this all already staets by more layers to log in than kust type in namr and password but to get a qr code send to your phone you must scan with a fusical device your bank provided that will turn thid into a code that obly works for 15 seconds..
as well as bank account numbers with build in checks.. so that typing a number wrong will just lead to error.. and not a wrong booking.
and 0.5 eurocent per transaction (for over 1 million transactions a month to 10 cent (for under 10000 trabsactions a month)
is less than 0.5% of total amount credit cards charge.. the difference is who is charged.
we prefer charging the seller not the buyer for the transaction.
but IDEAL transactions are instant and checked.. you cannot pay without saldo.. so seller never has a bounced payment at all. He will have the money ibstant instead of the 3-5 days in hangs in the air with other payment systenms.
Yeah, unless it's a big retailer selling, audio equipment is often overpriced on there.
I mean, there's someone selling a completely trashed Polivoks for over 1k right now. With some luck you could get a serviced one on Kleinanzeigen for that.
Or you can also set a "high bid" so somebody might come along and keep getting outbid by your automatic bidding and get dejected really fast.
Both my house bank and PayPal require MFA. After you got your identity confirmed once or every now-and-then, there's usually some kind of TAN or mTAN. Fast, simple, secure.
To connect your house bank account to your Paypal bank account (yes, in Europe PayPal is a proper bank), you need to confirm your identity as well.
And should something happen still, there's insurance.
Ideal doesn't seem special in that regard, just marketing to inflate transaction fees. These extra layers of phone calls seem more like a hindrance to legitimate users and even an additional attack vector actually.
it went the opposite way, with items rolling in on a conveyor belt and a digital price tag that kept lowering as it went.
so under that system you have to gauge how low you want to risk going instead.
you can buy immediately but then you end up paying more than you would if you wait.
but wait too long and someone else might nab it.
i thought that was kinda interesting, and i assume the reason for its use is to expedite the bidding process to get it over with quickly since in that particular context it is more of a running process rather than a special occasion.
it is still done just oblibe now.
I always liked the idea of an american auction.
if you bid 100 you pay 100 even if you loose.
so ALL that bid pay what they had bid but only winner gets item.
you get the price cheap for what it is.
In which case, you might have a change of mind and don't want to buy anymore. But bidding on a product (at least on German Ebay) is a binding purchase. Withdrawing (at least from a private sale) is totally on goodwill of the seller.
I havr not seen even one 21 inch 1600x1200 crt on our markplaats in 5 years.. its all crappy 15 and 17 inch models..
let alone a 120hz trinitron 21.5" 1600x1200 as I used to own in 2000 and want too again.
An HD CRT is pretty niche though. Moreso in Europe, since people here jumped straight to plasma and LCD right away. The main issue I have with finding stuff on Kleinanzeigen ist that most stuff isn't labelled properly, only with generic titles and sloppy descriptions.
gamets I knew did not.
early crt were crap smaller and worse resolytion than last gen 19 and 21 imch crt.
it was not until pnelsgot 1440p and 25 inch and laarger people switched away from crt.
I nust wish I never had given my old crt away back than.. it was heavy as a fridge weighing over 60kg.. it wss big..
but I regret giving it away till this day.
ahole used un 2 years than tossed in in garbadge so getting it back no option.
ahole as indeef screens lile thar aee rare now and likely will coat thousands used.
it was a 4500 guilder (2200euro)creen that came out in 2001 I got
made in europe. with good parts.
I got it 2d hand in 2002 from a compagny that went bust.. my luck gor 500 euro
so yeah pretty niche
if I find one for sale and working they likely charge 5000 for it.
even on ebay one does not see those.
the 21inch crt on ebay are just 1080p not 1200x1600.
and are only 60hz models not 120hz
but I know they exvist as I used to own one.
