Correct....
Now how many currencies are pegged to the US Dollar.
Now how big is just the US GPD alone.
Now how big is the GDP of every country pegged to the US dollar.
Now how many countries are trading partners with the US?

China is the only country that has a notable GDP and they are looking at a demographic collapse.
Saudis still pegges to the US dollar.
India and China are looking at war over disputed land on their borders making trade a bit of an issue if that goes hot.
South Korea has a larger GDP than Russia and has been letting their oligarchs send physical gold out of Russia to England.

If China got all of Asia to agree on a Dollar like currency and played peace maker in their region then I would be concerned.

But BRICS is a goldman sachs trading block that hasn't been living up to the hype.

Uh no, no it wouldn't. Two nuclear states going at it is not something that would be entertaining to see in the slightest. If anything that would likely see all nuclear states going at it and circa 50% of the 1% who survive dying of dysentery as society the world over breaks down.

Plus it would be much like with how things popping off between Iran and Pakistan would be very detrimental to the economy writ large. What with the sheer amount of international shipping lanes that go through there. If you think the price you're paying at the pump or to put bread on the table is bad right now, imagine it getting ten times worse.

I, for one, want the world to stop hurting itself and for cooler heads to prevail. Am I going to hold my breath about it?

No, but I am definitely voting for the other guy in November.
