It was a real existing bug, in which multiple programs and even some motherboard bios updates where required. It was just blown out of proportion when it came down to the impact and fixes required, most of which was done ahead of time.
That was a smart post, no one else here is intelligent enough to understand it.

They actually seemed like people procrastinated it. Then got together and got it done in time.
why 1901? If you are talking about Unix then it would be 1970 but it's signed so you never really know what would happen, most likely it would just crash the main program
