Which video games have the best sound effects?

Those games that have the most interesting sounds inside; from menus to gameworld ambience...

My favourite is Hexen II.

The gamer in the above video plays bad but the video gets the job done at "offering various sound effects".

I absolutely love the sound effect of Assassin's Crossbow, Necromancer's Ravenstaff and the effects of Skull Wizards, Werejaguars and Archer Bosses. Horshack! Hahaha! .

What is your favourite game(s) regarding the sound effects aspect?

Before sleep, i thought my thread was surely dead with zero posts... Now i see multiple replies under it, reminding me of that famous Christmas movie from 1946.

Now i have to scroll over those games as why posters selected those as favourite on sound effects department. Because apart from Battlefield 1 & 5, i didn't play any of the other mentioned here.

A special thank you goes for Scurrybt, for reviving my new born thread from the clutches of certain death. 😁

I will come back again, after checking those games mentioned.
