It wouldn't make any sense. Now take these feel good pills and don't do or think about anything stressful. Also lets go down the list of every pill, until we find the one thats right for you.
This is all for your benefit of course, oh you have kids? Great, lets see em. What they wanted to transition but never had the courage to bring it up to you. You can thank me later, now heres my bill.
That logic only works on private healthcare.
Also psychologists don't issue medication, that's for psychiatrists.
And no, the majority aren't like that. If a psychologist is demeaning others or tries to bring politics or religion into the discussion without my OK than I'd look for a new one.
did you say you had a 50% coupon or did the store have it 50% off at the time or how long did you take before you came back to the store to get it returned or was the item slightly damaged looking to get refunded the difference?
The next question if you said no to any of these, is that you aren't telling the whole truth and you need to start being open and honest, if you can do that.
now i've stated all that, you haven't exactly provided the context here as to why the physiologist said this bit in your example. so i ask you to tell the whole truth on the matter and provide the details to find out if it was the physiologist being manipulative or not.
which is curious how i've already poked holes in your little story here and so far you have created this fantasy scenario that the physchologist is responsible for you not telling the whole thing accurately.
everyone has an agenda to drive at, even you.
if you're looking to find a professional for therapy, and they are interviewing you, you should also be interviewing them.
trust your instincts. if it doesn't feel right, find a different professional.
But speaking specifically of the counseling type, I'm sure some are, but I've visited several of them and in my experience, they mostly offer strategies and insights that make perfect sense. If yours is weird or bad, try to find a new one.
The OP's example conversation sounds like something that could have taken place between me and a coworker at the water cooler, for example. Assuming "below average" means something more like "minimum wage", that is. If it means like in intelligence or something then yeah, there's something wrong with that guy.
