Are half of Twitch female streamers gamer girls or simply cam girls?

I mean, I've always been of the impression that if you truly are a gamer girl, then your streams wouldn't be about YOU but the game you're playing. Case in point, most male streams that are meant to focus on the game will have the male streamer's head in the corner of the screen, with most of the focus being on the actual game. As we all know, famous female streamers like Amouranth, Alinity, Pokimane etc. tend to have their streams mostly focused on THEM.

I'm not saying the average gamer chick needs to be dressed in a sweater and sweatpants just so people won't pay attention to her body. But generally speaking, people tend to dress comfortably for what they do. That means more practical clothes that aren't bringing attention to their bodies. If you're a girl who just happens to be in a tanktop and shorts in your room because it's hot, and it's not your fault if your cleavage shows, that's fine.

Chances are, your stream is still about the game rather than you. I mean, my cousin's a streamer (Allenownz) but his has always been about Fortnite or other popular game streams. I imagine most male streamers are the same way. Popular female streamers I've seen that I could say were at least less focused on them and more on their content were JustAMinx and SweetAnita.

The "more popular" ones just seem like glorified cam girls who use Twitch to direct people to their OFs. Honestly, their wouldn't be half as much criticism if they were simply honest about it and were cam girls through and through instead of pretending to be gamers. I don't have a problem with female gamers. Better it were if that meant Twitch was more about gaming.

the cam girls who show half naked of their body desperate for followers should get banned from twitch because theres alot of young kids on twitch, im one of the female twitch streamers who loves to game and meet people who likes same things as me

Thanks! Though, anime cartoon hosts aren't really my thing... It's kind of unnerving/distracting. :) I don't need to actually "see" the person, though, to enjoy a good stream.

I mean those girls do a good thing, they promote that a healthy/sexy body is rewarded.. if everyone would get rewarded for that we would have way healthier/sexier society

you should've seen it light up after twitch removed their 'nsfw' policy. they were sitting there totally nude.

jokes aside, a lot of male content creators are out there and very steady in their work, and they keep the sex out of the equation.

not to shade out gamer women but im tired of looking at comment sections full of simpering morons, rather, chats that are dedicated to the gameplay or sharing game hints / tricks. some of the best games i've played have been recommended in chat as well.

i also recognize streamers that don't use a webcam, audio only. rather than try to push a brand, they're there because they like playing games and streaming it for people either interested in the game, or wanting to chat about it while watching some gameplay.
