Are half of Twitch female streamers gamer girls or simply cam girls?

I mean, I've always been of the impression that if you truly are a gamer girl, then your streams wouldn't be about YOU but the game you're playing. Case in point, most male streams that are meant to focus on the game will have the male streamer's head in the corner of the screen, with most of the focus being on the actual game. As we all know, famous female streamers like Amouranth, Alinity, Pokimane etc. tend to have their streams mostly focused on THEM.

I'm not saying the average gamer chick needs to be dressed in a sweater and sweatpants just so people won't pay attention to her body. But generally speaking, people tend to dress comfortably for what they do. That means more practical clothes that aren't bringing attention to their bodies. If you're a girl who just happens to be in a tanktop and shorts in your room because it's hot, and it's not your fault if your cleavage shows, that's fine.

Chances are, your stream is still about the game rather than you. I mean, my cousin's a streamer (Allenownz) but his has always been about Fortnite or other popular game streams. I imagine most male streamers are the same way. Popular female streamers I've seen that I could say were at least less focused on them and more on their content were JustAMinx and SweetAnita.

The "more popular" ones just seem like glorified cam girls who use Twitch to direct people to their OFs. Honestly, their wouldn't be half as much criticism if they were simply honest about it and were cam girls through and through instead of pretending to be gamers. I don't have a problem with female gamers. Better it were if that meant Twitch was more about gaming.

High maintenance types are rarely going to have any genuine interest in games. They're far too busy with their appearance and popularity, plus are going to be very stereotypically feminine. Being into games is not something the majority of women are into anyway. If they're filming themselves it can only be for attention because that shows they need an audience.

I've seen ones that tried to game. They're terrible at it. That's why most I see that try to game do so in hot tubs and lingerie... IMO, if Twitch had any integrity they'd boot their asses over the OnlyFans where they can compete with similar content instead of trying to edge their way onto platforms that tend to have a lot of under 18 consumers.

I have never watched a twitch stream from a female. Last time I watched a gameplay stream there was because a Steam friend invited me to watch and comment. And it wasn't a she.

There's a couple I follow, but they're in it for the actual gaming experiences. But of course since they're in it to play games they tend to be fairly small channels.
