GREAT ALBANIANS (ILLYRIANS) CHANGED HISTORY
Alexander the Great, born in Makedonia, Albania, was the first Great Albanian in history. He conquered great swats of land but was killed during his military campaign in the East (probably by a Greek). His descendants retained his Albanian heritage, which was passed down generation through generation until Queen Kleopatra of Egypt.

Meanwhile, in the west, Caesar was being kidnapped by Illyrian (Old Albanians) pirates. He was killed in 77 BCE and an Albanian general took his role and name.

When he met Kleopatra in 48 BCE he spoke to her in Albanian and they ended up in love. Caesar was later killed by the roman senate when his Illyrian identity was discovered on the 15 of March 44 BCE.

Octavian was Caesar's adopted son. He was told from Cesar that he was Albanian and therefore wanted to reach the land promised by the gods (Albion = Albania) so he conquered Gaul, but couldn't reach Albion (modern Britain). This is why Octavius (later Augustus, conquered the island).

Several famous emperors followed, such as Aurelian, Diocletian, and Constantine the Great, all ethnically Albanian.

In 476 AD the west falls but the Eastern Roman Empire survives thanks to Albanian resilience. In 1453 the Ottoman Turks stormed the Balkans and conquered Constantinople. The day the Theodosian walls fell, 29 May 1453, it's said that Constantine IX Paleologos died and ascended to heaven in the Battle.

The truth Is that he survived.
Constantine IX (ninth) was not a coincidence: nine is sacred number (3 × 3, Jesus Christ); there's 3 greats of history: Alexander the Great - Caesar the Great and Skenderbeg the Great. The truth is that Constantine goes back to his motherland (Albania) to continue the resistance against the Turks, under the name Iskander (Alexander) Skenderbeg. He bravely stops the Turkish advance for two decades, before ascending to the heavens himself.

I'm no expert at all, but enjoy "history" in general.

Some observations seen reflected in this thread:

There's got to be a gajillion "historians" out there who zealously co-opted just about any historical figure, place, or thing, just because their contemporary culture claimed it... That's as true today as it was likely true throughout human history. Though, historians today may be a bit more finicky bunch than those writing for patrons and their own notoriety.

Even so, I find it one of the most fascinating things on the internetz to watch historians argue among themselves... The sheer brutality with which they conduct their online attacks is mesmerizing. I'm a huge fan of that, usually because it resolves down to a criticism of what source material is considered credible or authentic, which also happens to be part of the foundation for one or more argument and positions, which leads down a spiral of argument who's depths are determined only by one's intimate historical knowledge or capacity for B.S. :). It's a fascinating thing to watch unfold.

So, please all, start arguing history and throw as many citations and counter-arguments at the screen as possible!

Do you know where Castoria was? Look on his grandfather who he was a Castorian Principe. Also gjergj/ george last name Kastrioti literally means castorian.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gjon_Kastrioti

Also people who fought for him where arberesh and tosk
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arb%C3%ABresh%C3%AB_people
The House of Kastrioti (Albanian: Dera e Kastriotit) was an Albanian royal and noble family, active in the 14th and 15th centuries as the rulers of the Principality of Kastrioti. The first Kastrioti mentioned in historical documents was a kephale of Kaninë in 1368. At the beginning of the 15th century the family controlled the region around Debar (modern westernmost North Macedonia and easternmost Albania) at the end of the 14th and the beginning of the 15th century. The most notable member was Skanderbeg, a magnate and general, regarded as an Albanian national hero. After the fall of the Principality and Skanderbeg's death in 1468 the Kastrioti family gave their allegiance to the Kingdom of Naples and were given control over the Duchy of San Pietro in Galatina and the County of Soleto in the Province of Lecce, Italy,[1] where a maternal branch of the family still exists today as part of the Sanseverino family.

His father was Albanian completely but some doubts are told by some people who say his mother was Serbian; There is no proof of this,

Arberesh and Tosk are also Albanians peoples, due to the ancient nature of Albania they can be grouped as Albanian or Illyrian.

They existed as albanoi/ Arbonioi
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albanoi

And albanopolis city that existed in epirus nova
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albanopolis

Also as Abroi
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abroi

Indeed Arberesh traced their linage to albanoi/ Arbonioi and abroi tribe which names derives from which had nothing to do with serbians. The rest of your ramblings before is incorrect and I have posted why and made such adjustments.

Guess what they say about the rest of countries?

Yet credit where is due. Their history has been butchered by whoever was in charge, ottomans serbs ect

History was never not written to favor some small country because claims on lands and its obvious what the interest are of neighbors. It has been divided many times as spoils of wars whoever won the region from the major powers of the time.
