Coffee
How do you like to prepare it (French Press, Drip, etc...)? Do you prepare it yourself or have someone do it for you?

I love my French Press coffee maker. :sadisthappy:

Thank you for reading.

I hate coffee
Me too... chocolate milk make my mornings.
Coffee makers aren't really necessary. The fancy ones with bean grinders are nice maybe. But drip? What's even the point? You can just boil water and throw ground coffee in.

Freshly grinded beans (preferrably Columbian or Brazilian beans). I use an espresso coffee machine with a double shot caffè latte with a shot of vanilla. And with a swan, heart or leaf latte art (I can't do others well).

Set up the Mr. Coffee the night before, flip the switch in the morning.
That's how I prepare it. Sometimes add a little rum or whiskey to the cup.☕

Cold brew
Uses a bit more coffee to make but tastes amazing and I generally prefer iced coffee over hot coffee.

I have:

A regular drip brewer (Ninja Hot/Cold system that does tea as well)
A stovetop/campfire percolator.
A basic espresso machine. No need for bells and whistles.
An aeropress.
A pour-over pot.
A Vietnamese Phin.
I do have a french press, but hardly ever use it.

Also, a good quality hand crank burr grinder works beautifully without paying an arm and a leg like electric burr grinders. Rotary grinders are only good for dried herbs and whatnot.

And obviously, buying pre-ground is totally plebeian.

No way in heck I'm ever using coffee pods, even if Keurig has cleaned up their act and started making biodegradable pods and mail-in recycling pouches.

I've got a coffee grinder thing that I use to grind beans, and then I put the powder into an arm thing which locks into the machine and water runs through the powder in the arm thing and downwards to the mug.

No idea what this is called though. I just drink black coffee from it.

Kopi Luwak is good, but hardly worth the price and animal welfare concerns.

Sumatra beans are the best in the world.

Are coffee samovars still in use? I should check the antique malls over in Stillwater sometime.

Also, a girl I knew back in college taught me to use a cezve.
