Justification is subjective.

I would tend to agree that violence is justified if you're defending yourself with appropriate force if you could not safely get out of the situation. If someone slaps you, it's not appropriate force to pull out a gun and shoot them, for example. That would be an escalation of force. If someone is attacking you and you get away, but come back to attack them back... that's not justified violence either.

I would not beat up a person just for racism, no. I also wouldn't stop a group typically victimized by racism either though. If I see a hat flying into the air, I'll be a real good witness from a very good distance and near cover.

I remember this one loophole where a prankster taunted someone to attack him so he can “oof” him in self-defense. What’s crazy is the prankster wasn’t guilty even after “oof” him and he still makes prank videos.

Violence is always a mean to an end; its better to be avoided, but ... in some cases .... when the opponent will not listen, not to reason, but just will not stop and listen ...


My take is that excellent education will solve 95% of the problems in the society. But there will always be 5% of sh!thead that live to watch things burn. THEY have to be removed. Prison, or ... well ... Orwell ?

also WWF programmes are pretty violent as well, and that's justified. you do not cross the boss, or something. if you do, you get violenced.

Now listen i think that as a just society we should try alternative ways to try and alieviate the issue at hand without resorting to violence as a last resort. It's what the animals in the animal kingdom and every other organism in every kingdom phylum and class etc does to remove potential competitors or gain access to resources. We are social creatures; however, at the core of our beings and as such we should socialize and again find different methods to navigate the madness and rage to access a brighter path towards the future of tommorow for humanity, society, and overall our own beings and self preservation

also you cannot necessarily just beat up someone for being racist. You know unless it's something they're doing to harm others but just being =/= call for arms.

Generally I think violence can be used in self defence or in defence of others, though if there are alternatives they are probably preferable.

If that racist was trying to beat up me or someone else, sure, but not because of their opinion, regardless of how bad and stupid I think it is.
