Are we talking actual breakcore (waqs, bong ra, squarepusher, venetian snares) or the sewerslvt and his clones? because the latter has nothing to do with breakcore ♥♥♥♥♥ its ambient dnb/jungle

can see why people dont like it though, its like chinese water torture with how sensory depriving some of it is

I'm... assuming... you mean pre-Black Album Metallica?

I hope... :pandastunned:

i'm not a metalhead but i like songs off this album ... so idk if thats supposed to be their worst album or something
Well, from their Rolling Stone interview following the release of the Black album, it was clear that they were only changing their style to have "bouncy bass" to make money.

The first Metallica song I heard on broadcast radio was "Enter Sandman", so I guess it paid off for them.

I generally don't care for any Metallica after "And Justice For All" personally...

But I do understand the appeal of their more mainline sound.
Neo-nazi hate rock...

Poppycock. Classical has been around for hundreds of years and most of not all aspiring composers study history's greats.

I dialike 'me and my 3 friends' genres like maidcore or early vaporwave. but I dislike the concepts, not necessarily the music.

it's hard to distinguish other genres from 'me and my 3 imitators' in the mainstream as well.

Aye, but something does not derive from itself, and I'm taking a purview of the genre as a whole being a unitary thing. That is to say, the genre as a whole is a collaborative effort, like a movie or a series, rather than being a derivation. you can say Beehtoven derived from Mozart, but not that classical music derives from classical music.

Classical music derives from music, and in the process of marketing Beethoven and Mozart along side Michael Jackson the 'classical' and 'pop' genres were created to differentiate them.

Somehow I suspect MJ used a lot of classical orchestration.

Yeah. It's really obvious if you actually sit down and analyze it that virtually every successful 'biz tune regardless of genre is directly descended from centuries of music theory. You'll see a ton of conventional chord progressions and rhythmic ideas. Not all of these guys write their own music, but whoever does is generally very well-versed and well-studied on theory that was developed by the greats of classical music. I'm talking metal, djent, you even see it in like J-Pop and stuff.

A ton of these guys even have less mainstream stuff that's just straight classical. Like Billy Joel, for example, one of the most iconic classic rock artists of all time, has an entire album of classical piano:

oh that's because the powers that be have only allowed 5-15 traditional compositions, and classical developed in that shallow pool.
