What are some good shoes for warehouse work
Got a new job at a warehouse, have to stand and walk on solid stone floor for hours, what are some good shoes to minimize the fatigue? Like boots or athletic shoes? Any reccomendations?

Socks matter a lot than you think OP. Nice cushioned socks might be better than expensive insoles...

Also, grab yourself some compression sleeves. They will help you if you are not used to physical labor.

And surprisingly Reebok composite toe safety work shoes have excellent memory foam insoles.

Here are some more warehouse safety tips:

Do not use your phone while on the floor, especially while walking.

Call out hidden corners.

Wear your PPE.

Stretching is key.

The optimal choice in any scenario are crocs.

If you want good boots that will protect your feet and all that goes on with them then I recommend Magnum Precision Boots.
There maybe a period where they feel bit uncomfortable as you get used to them but these are good well made boots and they last. I wear my boots for everything and they have lasted well (years so far with this pair i'm amazed considering what I put them through). I used to go through British Army assault boots regularly (the black ones before they changed)but these Magnum Precision boots are more comfortable, tougher and way better value for how long they last.

Recommend getting some good comfortable insoles maybe heel supports just for added comfort.

It is tempting to get a softer easier to wear shoe / boot but they don't do you much good over the years in fact they cause problems because people are more reliant on cars manufacturers have reduced the quality of foot care.
so I choose the Magnum Precisions no mucking about.

IDK it depends on you. Friend of mine who was a warehouse guy for most of his career always wore Converse. He was just comfortable in them. I worked on heavy equipment so I was always in steel toe'd boots at work.

Comfort and safety. For pickers etc most I saw wearing sneaker type shoes.
A good pair of boots with thick rubber soles and toe protection is how I'd go. Depending on the nature of risk in the warehouse, a rubber toe might be fine, but if there is significant danger to your feet, go with steel toes.

Two things would be non-negotiable for me:

Steel toes
Super cushiony

You neither want to have something heavy fall on your unprotected feet nor want to stand on concrete with hard soles for hours a day.

I've done both. And they both sucked. The former caused me a lot of pain (though no injuries) while the latter aged my back by about 40 years for a while until I got better soles.

I'm afraid safety prevails over comfort in this situation.

No spiky cleats. Only steel toecap shoes.

For all we know its some kind of assembly line or even stuffing envelopes. Assembling shoe supplies made in China and shipped through Mexico and put together here to say Made in America on the package or something....

Steel toe
Non-skid/Non-slip (If the places deals with oily or wet floors, but wear some just in case.)
Cushy

Tips from someone who has worked in a almost similar work environment:
1. If you need to pick up a heavy box by hand, lift with your legs not your back.
2. If you want to reduce fatigue or sore feet lose weight. Trust me I don't get sore feet anymore even after I leave work.
3. Never buy work shoes from Walmart. Seriously they don't last long enough, then you have to end up buying a new pair.
