What are some good shoes for warehouse work
Got a new job at a warehouse, have to stand and walk on solid stone floor for hours, what are some good shoes to minimize the fatigue? Like boots or athletic shoes? Any reccomendations?

Frankly I think some good boots would be the best option. Might be a good idea to get a nice comfy (or perhaps orthopedic) insole as well.

if your in Canada marks work warehouse is supposed to have the best boots and shoes and working clothes etc there stuff is expensive

I'm going to get winter boots with the insulated insoles at the End Of January at marks work warehouse

Walmart only had size 9 boots, to small and only George brand boots with the insulated insoles

Canadian tire winter boots with insulated insoles don't keep your feet warm

It depends. Does your job site require steel toe footwear?
I say steel toe boots. That way your toes are protected if a heavy item falls on your foot.

shoes aren't as important as insoles
buy pricy insoles like redwings and wear a cheap boot with composite toe
if you're cold use thicker socks, insulated boots are heavy and expensive

You will probably have to wear something with steel toe caps and that's where the crap begins. It's supposed t be for your safety but it's mostly to make profit because all those shoes are poorly made and last a year or less.

If you don't have to ... I suggest Sketchers, they're soft and awesome to walk or stand for hours on concrete

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that. Steel toe (or at least composite toe) is definitely a good idea.

Does your employer buy your footwear for you? If they have safety requirements then they should.

I've worked many years with steel toe cap boots and it screwed up my feet a lot more than they protected them, it's heavy, makes your legs ache at the end of the day, most of the time they're too hard to break in, so they give you blisters and when they finally feel broken in, it's time to buy another pair cause they're falling apart... One idiot hurts himself once and all have to suffer with stupid safety boots for ever.
Same with knives to open cartons or what ever, some places have to even wear anti cut gloves and you work with stupid little box cutters with 1/4 inch blades

Don't buy Walmart boots. I wore a hole in the heel and ended up with wet toes. I bought Red Wing boots and haven't looked back.

Georgia Boot has some decent boots as well.

I vote yes on the Red Wing Shoes moldable footbeds. You can fit them to your feet in two ways, but I just wear them in verses putting them in the oven.

Carhartt has boots as well.

If you want to wear them for a long time, get a boot with a Goodyear welt. It typically means that they can be resoled for longevity. I have a pair of boots that are 17 years old that I have had soled 2 times and still wear them.

I work at a factory and by law I have to wear steel toe shoes. It doesn't really matter what the shoe is; it's inside the shoe that matters. I have those nice soles for your feet which feels very comfy.

The job should have some safety-wear guidelines, yes?

Steel toe non slip

Out of my years of working in a factory I don’t think anything smashed my foot. Not even a piece of paper.

Red Wing brand steel toe boots.

A steel toe will save your toe, but most accidents lead back to fatigue. Often foot fatigue.
