The crisis was definitely horrible. The capital of Amazonas state, Manaus, woke up daily to very heavy smoke everywhere, for months.

The average temeprature was in the low 40ºC, while the lack of winds drove the termal sensation to around 50ºC:

Many people in the cities were dying of heat and of asfixiation, specially the eldery.
But the worst of it all was that it was all very poorly notified to the rest of the country and to the world. Probably because of a fear of a comparisson with Bostonaro, who intentionally destroyed many of our environments (Amazon, Pantanal, Cerrado), or a fear of criticism of the early Lula government. Some leftist news outlets have been publishing then erasing news that denounce the environmental situation.
I find the hypocrisy even more dangerous: there are thousands of criminal (intentional) wildfires occuring. May they be retaliation of the fall of Bostonarism, or a practice that has been set in place during the past degovernment, they still need to be fought with strong measures.
The governors of the states involved, Pará, Amazonas, and Mato Grosso, kept poiting fingers at the other while denying all responsability themselves.
The resolution is that the situation was not dealt with, and the rain season came to save everyone in the region.
The conspiracy theorist command is a dogwhistle. You were conditioned to say that and have an emotion.
Do you even know anyone from the region?
The good you should boycott is meat.
Meat production is the sole responsible for the criminal fires and the destruction of the forest. Doesn't matter if you boycott meat from JBS (the largest international company, that buys cattle from invasions and slavery), or if you boycott meat from elsewhere that is fed with the grains from invasions.
Everyone should *value* products from the forest. The ribeirinhos need to make money to keep living.
Everyone should *value* art from the Amazon, culture from the Amazon, and so on.
There are millions of hard working human beings there, trying to make a living. Many people manage to make a living out of extraction that does not destroy the forest. We need to make those productions economically sustainable so big farms of soy (grains for livestock worldwide) and meat (JBS) don't take over the region.
I knew he was wicked, but I didn't realize it went so far as wicked retahded :P
Yeah, you're done. Never mind.
And stop calling everyone xenophobic, people like you is why these words lose their meaning.
