No way Nintendo let Switch become a copycat of DS.

DS is stand for Dual Screen, that means a DS must have 2 screens.

Meanwhile, Switch means you can play video games by using built-in screen or a dedicated monitor. If a Nintendo Switch had dual screen, that means you might need 2 monitors to play video games on bigger screens. That's too hard to archive, and maybe too expensive for younger players.

It would make a lot of sense if they wanted to bring over Nintendo DS or 3DS games to Nintendo Switch online.

It would make virtually no sense since you could fit both DS screen inside a single switch screen space, having two physical screens is unnecessary.
