This is about Kanye, and I failed to keep it topical.
I couldn't pick his lyrics or voice out of a lineup, though.
Unlike Rakim. Or Atmosphere. Or Cube. Or Ice-T. Or Aesop Rock. Or Brother Ali. Or Dre. Or Eminem. Or Sage Francis. Or Blackalicious. Or Q-tip. Or Plug 1 and 2. Or Vanilla Ice, even.
Everything I've heard has been so generic as to be completely non-rememberable.
Generic Rapper Guy.
He's apparently rich and famous only for being rich and famous. Like royalty, in a way. Not for any particular stand-out technical prowess or style at his chosen musical genre.
Also he's a producer, so his music production is heard in other people's work, most of whom are rich and famous, but similarly non-rememberable, and nobody will be playing their records, or know who they are, in 20 years.
Just the effect of famous people seeming to be famous for no real reason. Always suspect to me ha ha ha.
He was more perosnable when he didn't feel like he fit in, and you can see him vascillating on that line a lot.
Is he really a Nazi if he's (by his own admission) incapable of grasping the intellectual foundations of the movement?
Yes and that statement made Mortimer seem like a psychopath, which a crown-adjacent psychologist instead had classified as sociopathy due to familial rejection.
Who? What?
